THE ULTIMATE ‘PLACE OF REFUGE’ IN BALI

AYANA VILLA

THE ULTIMATE PLACE OF REFUGE IN BALI

The ultra-luxurious Ayana Villa, named after a ‘place of refuge’ in Sanskrit, occupies 3,000 square meters of landscaped gardens in a quiet corner of the Ritz-Carlton, Bali Resort & Spa, affording the most stunning cliff-top views over Jimbaran Bay on the God’s Island “Bali”.

The private driveway leading to the 420 square meter villa brings spa-goers to an illuminated, terraced water feature reminiscent of Bali’s famed rice fields, with fountains that gently flow towards the carved Balinese doors leading into the property. Ayana Villa truly is Bali’s most exclusive retreat, and no detail has been spared.
With guaranteed privacy and seclusion, state-of-the-art facilities and chic design, Ayana Villa is a destination unto itself. The perfect hideaway for guests seeking a safe haven in which to completely unwind and restore peace of mind. There is no reason to leave this tranquil place of refuge unless you want to.

"This villa was designed and developed specifically in response to our guests’ requests for such a facility,” says David Wilson, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Bali Resort & Spa. “Celebrities, royalty, heads-of-state and various other guests who require a high level of security especially appreciate the villa’s unique location amongst the Jimbaran cliffs, overseeing not only spectacular views, but also offering maximum privacy and security.”

With its spacious grounds and stunning sunset views, Ayana also makes a magnificent entertainment area for up to 200 guests. A traditional Indonesian gazebo perched above the cliffs makes an enchanting and intimate wedding location for couples to exchange vows against the magical backdrop of the Indian Ocean.

The villa is equally set up as a private sanctuary. In the south-easternmost corner, a separate building houses a double massage room for personalized spa treatments, as well as a steam shower and private gym complete with treadmill and free weights. Private yoga and meditation classes are also available.

Attending to your every whim with personalized yet discreet service, is a dedicated team of staff including a 24-hour on-call butler and a personal chef to prepare your choice of meals upon request.

The impressive contemporary design and majestic views across the lush gardens to the infinity-edged pool and ocean beyond greet you as soon as you enter the central living room. A comfortable lounge area with a 60-inch Plasma television and an Ironwood bar featuring an impressive dragon hand-carved by a Balinese artisan opens onto a sun-room where natural light filters through ornate Balinese stone wall panels.

The dominant use of the highest-quality local materials and craftsmanship is further evident from the eight-person dining table made of a single, 400-year-old piece of jackfruit wood, and from the intricate ceiling and wall panels, sculptures, paintings and timeless artifacts that tastefully adorn each room. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors lead outside to a wooden deck and verdant gardens; to your left lies the 105 square meter pool and heated Jacuzzi, while to your right, a stone path curves through antique Balinese gates to a private wedding gazebo on the cliff’s edge.

The villa itself comprises three deluxe bedrooms, each with stunning views to the ocean, traditional carved Indonesian beds, and large adjoining bathrooms featuring twin vanities, rain showers and large bathtubs. The state-of-the-art electronics include Bose home entertainment systems, flat-screen high-definition televisions in each bedroom and bathroom, and even high-tech toilets!
Personalized welcome amenities range from champagne to your favorite flowers, chocolates and magazines, while you will find the cellar fully-stocked with fine vintage wines including private reserve labels, a selection of Cuban cigars, cognac, vodka, and herbal teas.

Ayana Villa is in a class of its own, and with a price of US$8,000 per night, there is no better time to surrender your senses to the magic of this peaceful refuge.
